Leadership Team
Twyla comes from Newfoundland, Canada and has been working with YWAM for about 6 years. She has served in places such as Bosnia, Kosovo, Denmark and is presently living in Brussels, Belgium. Twyla is actively involved in leading and pioneering DTSs in Europe and is presently pioneering the Bluewater DTS aboard a sailing ship. She is a firm believer in the potential of the DTS to impact both the student and the nations and wants to ensure that our DTSs internationally reach that potential.
Joel BRINGAS
Davao City, Philippines
Joel was born March 2, 1963 in Davao City in the Philippines. He got saved from lifestyle of drug addiction, selling
drugs, and violent street gangs, during a revival in
the foursquare church in 1981.
Joel received discipleship through a YWAM Davao leader until his DTS in 1983 in Baguio City, Luzon, Philippines. This was the second ever DTS in the Philippines.
Joel helped pioneer the first YWAM DTS in Manila, Antipolo, and in 1984 did his SOE in Canbera, Australia.
After his return, his ministry involvements in Manila
were:
church planting in 2 squatter areas, the
pioneering of 4 ywam centers in Manila,
outreach coordinator for international visiting
outreach teams,
director of YWAM campus ministry and
leading the first SOE in Manila.
Joel did his LTC in Hong Kong (customised LTS for asian
leaders), pioneered the YWAM center in Olongapo, Luzon, worked as DTS staff with YWAM Germany for several
years and
directed an international DTS in north Germany,
Bispingen
Joel returned to Davao City in 1991 to pioneer the first German/Philippino DTS and continued directing these schools yearly. He pioneered a 3-years BLS program in Davao City since 1987 and has
also been the base director since that time. Joel has been the YWAM Philippines national DTS coordinator since
January 2006.
Joel has been married since 1991 to Birgit, a German ywam-er. They have two
children of their own (14 and 10 years old), one adopted
son (5 years old).
Cory PASSEHL
Harpendon, England
Cory grew up in a small town in Wisconsin , USA. He gave His life to the Lord on a missions trip and the adventure began there. After the completion of studies in university he moved to Guatemala in 1997 to serve in an orphanage and challenge young people to serve the Lord in missions. While in Guatemala he learned Spanish and his heart for the nations began to grow.
In 1999 he did his DTS in Australia, and has gone on to staff and lead a number of DTS's since that time. His real passion is to see the DTS strengthened and championed as it is the future of our mission. He is currently serving in Australia and has a desire to go to the more isolated locations that are lacking in staff and resources, to get along side of our DTS staff to see them equipped to transform the nations.
Dustin CAMPBELL
Davao City, Philippines
Dustin and Haydee have been serving Youth With A Mission for 10 years. Married in 2001 their family have grown to include two active children (Michaella and Lemuel). Both as singles and as a couple they have been focused in training, staffing, and leading DTSs since they have been in the mission. They have also served on base leadership teams and national leadership training teams. They have a heart to see trained staff and leaders to be fully equipped to face all the challenges in DTS. They believe that well equipped staff and leaders will equal excellent schools which will intern bring the much needed missionaries for today's world.
